washer wont agitate

Model Number: kenmore series 80 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years

my washer wont agitate. I put a blanket in that must have been to heavy for the washer. The machine made some noise ... it was the middle of the nite with a sick kid. I didnt realize I broke the machine . Now it wont agitate. What is wrong with it? Thanks
