washer has started to leak from bottom. Did a quick check on connecto and drain hose but did not see any problem there. I look at bleach add in well and do not see a hose connected to this location. only a stub that look like it may have held a hose. Could this be the sorce of my water leak that the hose in that location has fell to lower side of the drum.

If your machine is equipped with the bleach dispenser and the hose is disconnected, not only will there be a leak, but water will continously drain through this hose, and the machine will constantly be filling to compensate for the loss.
