Model Number: WJSR2080T2AA Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
About once every 3 months, the rinse water will keep running until I manually advance the timer forward. If I don't catch it, the water will run for hours and not shut off.

Sounds like a pressure switch problem, not necessarily the switch itself, could be the pressure switch hose. Remove the front cover of the machine, and to the left of the tub is where the tube connects to the air chamber. remove the tube, and look to see if it is discolored. cut off the discolored part, now get yourself something small to stick down the nipple the hose came off to clean it out, put hose back on, put washer in the largest wash and watch it fill. the water should go no higher than the last holes in the basket. Post the results when finished. This will happen if you don't use bleach to often

I checked the hose on the pressure switch and didn't see any blockage. I went ahead and cut off end of hose and reattached after cleaning out nipple in switch. Is there any other thing that might cause this?

If it is clogged, it will be clogged at the tub, not the pressure switch, take the front of the machine off, it's on the left side. let me know if you don't know how to remove the front

Where I checked for restriction was down on the tub which I was calling the pressure switch (it's a plastic piece mounted to the tub behind the front cover of the washer. Could the problem have anything to do with the timer switch? When the problem occurs you can advance the timer one click and it starts working again, which is not a big problem except the water will run for hours and the timere stays in the rinse cycle if its not caught and can run up the water bill. The water does not overflow the tub but exists out through the drain hose.
