Frustrated... need assistance/ideas on how to remove the old suspension assembly from base - looks like they are welded or something. When rotated they just spin but don't unscrew.

Received parts and followed instructions included in box, however they just say to remove them and don't specify how to do so.

New suspension assembly tells has additional screws to install to make suspension springs tight.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

The "shock absorber" so to speak is basically a 2 part system. Since you are going to replace them anyway, use vice grips to grab the shaft (steel rod) and turn it out of the "welded nut" on the base. same with the other end. You may have to unscrew the other end Longer shaft) first to get to the base attachment.
