Default No spin cycle...clothes are wet
Model Number: JW1000W   Brand: Jenn-Air   Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello....

I'm trying to fix my washing machine(Jenn-air model Jw1000W) ...it will agitate and drain the water but will not spin...I have checked the switch and that seems to be ok...I turned the unit up so I could see underneath with the spin cycle going and the belt is attached and spinning all three pulleys, but making a strange sound....Is there a way to tell if the transmission is broken? Trying to decide if its a big issue or something which is a quick fix......Thanks for any help....
