I have a frigidaire washing machine that was leaking out of the bottom of the drive shaft. I replaced the tub seal and that fixed the leak. The spin cycle does not work. It will go through the wash cycle but it isn't agitating and the spin does not spin. The transmission spins and you can smell the belt getting hot. I looked at the parts manual and saw that it has a trunnion. I am not sure what the purpose of this part is. It looked like it might have a piece broke but I am not sure. I didn't see any pieces in the tub when I tore it apart. I am lost at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

That sounds like what is going on with our washer
Frigidaire GLTR1670AS
We replaced the shocks and belt (one shock was broke)
I am guessing there was a bigger problem that broke the shock because that did not fix it.
It did leak replaced seal
(bought new door assembly but did not replace it)
Washer was working.
Then noticed broken shocks and belt when would not spin.
drum did have play don't remember the direction.
anyway we replaced shocks and belt.
ran test spin appeared to work great
put a load in and burnt new belt on first load....
now hoping it is not rear assembly with bearing....

Any suggestions....
This thing has been nothing but trouble almost full cost of washer in parts.
