Washer develops vibration now when spinning. Had washer over 13 years this is the first issue we've had. I've seen some parts diagrams that show a damper assembly. How difficult is that to get to? I'm good with my hands and have repaired wahers before, just not a Maytag and not without a manual or parts diagram. I plan to change both belts and wondered how much more difficult it would be to diagnose the vibration. Also, vibration is not an out of balance tub or anything and washer does not kick off from it either.

These types of problems are difficult for us to diagnose because they require visual inspection. I would operate the machine with the front off and see if you can determine where the likely problem is.

Here is a service manual that will take you through some troubleshooting and show you how to disassemble the washer.

Thanks for the reply howveer the manula you provided does not cover my model number LAT9416AAE, according to the contents of the manul you sent me. If you would update that with correct manual, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

For some reason Maytag does not always list all of the models covered by their service manuals. This manual is what Maytag specifies for your model, and if you look at the manual in some detail I think you will find it covers your model features.
