Whats the best way to replace the transmission belt. This washer has the old type transmission and will spin a full load of jeans with a glass of water on top. The last Maytag washer worth owning in my opinion and I plan to fix it untill, well it has been cold :) Thanks

Here's the part number for the set of drive belts. Part number: AP4011179.
Part number: AP4011179.

Tilt the machine back against the wall far enough for you to comfortably reach under. Just walk the belts off the pump and transmission pulleys as you rotate them. Replace them in the same manner. The motor will slide inward to assist in the installation. The pump belt goes on the bottom of the motor drive pulley.
