The whirlpool duet washer goes to F9 almost every cycle, and when I hit the cancel button, the washer does finish its cycle but the clothes stay very wet after spinning. Way too wet to put them in the dryer. The washer drain pump seems to work but is it possible that it just working poorly and shoud be replaced? or could this be a water level issue?

Thanks for any help!

Make sure the pump and the drain hoses are completely clean and free of any obstruction.

Then determine if the valves are open and water is coming into the machine during the cycle. Probably not, but if so you will probably want to replace the inlet valves.

If these check out, you need to check the wiring between the presssure switch and the control unit. Make sure it is complete and there is no break or short or fraying.

If it still does this, you have your choice of replacing the pressure switch or the control unit.
