We had a service technician come out to repair our commercial washer and he said we needed a new computer board. The new board was purchased and installed. They used the old controller program chip on the new board and it still has the same problem. When you power up the machine there are dashes instead of numbers on the LED's. The board starts making clicking noises and then the LED's go blank. Do we also need to put a new controller program chip with the new board? Was it the program chip that is causing the problem?

I, along with most if not all of those who reply on this Forum work on residential machines, so I can only post a Service Manual for you, after which you will now know what I know about this model.

Did the service tech replace the board and then leave with the machine not working?

That display you describe on other devices usually means a processor failure, but on this one it may or may not mean that. The door switch or water level switch can also be a culprit. The service manual does say to place the old chip on the new board, but you need to get the tech back, or at least query he or she about it.

Hope the manual will help. Good luck.
