We bought this what we thought Top of the Line Stainless Large Capacity washer. Before it was a year Old it got real Noisy. They sent someone out to fix it. Less than a year later but After the warranty was over, it did it again. They again sent someone out to fix it. Both times they replaced the Hub and seal assembly. Since then I have done this same thing three of Four times myself. The last Time I did it I decided to try and figure out why. The hub is Aluminum and has a Seal riding on it. Well aluminum is soft and it wears down. Bad design. Plus the aluminum is not anodized and corrodes. These two things mean that the repair won't last very Long. A year , maybe two. I have a fix I think. I could anodize the new part when it gets here but what I did was machine down the area where the Seal Rides. Then machined a stainless steel sleeve to press on there. I still have to order the 115 dollar kit to get the New seal. But hopefully I won't have to fix it again for a long time. We'll see.

Thanks for the info.
Your experience is somewhat abnormal, so your fix may well correct a problem that was in herent in your machine as well as issues with the design of the parts.
Let us know how things work out over time.
