I have a Maytag Ensignia washer. This thing gets completely off balance at the drop of a hat. We have adjusted the legs, adjusted the clothes, put less laundry in the tub etc. No matter what we try it sounds like someone is in the tub beating it with a sledgehammer. Please help!!!

Take off the front cover and operate the machine in spin to see if you can determine where the problem is. Look for some white flakes underneath, which would indicate a snubber problem. Here is the service manual that will help you diagnose the machine and get into it. http://repair2000.com/Li...maytagatlantiswasher.pdf

sidfink43,
I have same issue with my washer, and when I played with cycle knob to get it to spin and drain, the noise was incredible. I do not think there is a belt on my unit. I think its a direct drive. Could you possibly have the service manual for my Washer? Model# MAV8757AWW
