Default Washer lid switch
Model Number: kaws700G   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 5 - 10 years

My washer won't drain after the wash cycle. The plastic housing for the lid switch is broken so that the screws have nothing to attach to. How do I get to this area?

Hi janie

In order to replace the lid switch you have to remove the cabinet first.
The complete instructions how to do it you can find here:

How to take Whirlpool washing machine apart - RepairAve.com

- The part number for the new lid switch AP3100003

- For the future references here are the break down diagrams for the Kitchen Aid washer Model KAWS700GQ0

Good luck.
Gene.
