I have at least 1 bad drum shock (there are 4 total). Since they are $100 each, how difficult of a job is this for an amateur? Any special tools needed?

I have worked a few times on this model, but not on the supports. The service manual does not even discuss it, but it does show you how to get into it.

I do not think you will find it a difficult process, but be sure and try to determine why the support broke.
