wASHER WILL NOT AGITATE
Model Number: A884 Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
mY WASHER WILL GO THROUGH THE SPIN CYCLE , FILL WITH WATER ETC BUT WILL NOT AGITATE = WHY

Tilt the washer back, remove the tranny belt and turn the tranny pulley in the agitate direction. If the agitator doesn't move= bad tranny or stripped agitator; just pull agitator out to verify; loosen 1/4 inch screw on the bottom side of agitator to remove.
