My washer would not agitate after water fill unless I opened and slammed the lid. As of yesterday it refused to operate at all. Is this a Lid Switch and is it an easy repair? Thanks for help

Yeah, I did it, and thank you very much for sending a link to the manual, I needed to read it cause I did not know how to open the control panel- that would be because I am a novice. For the cost of the part I have my 12 year old washer running again and I definitely owe my graditude to your help and instructions. I will be sure to use this site and contact you for the next apppliance question I have - just wish you would have all the answers to my household repairs:) ...................Deb J
