Hi!
I have a KENMORE 11049722990 PORTABLE WASHER. It works fine, except at the very end of the spin cycle the machine sort of screeches and jerks violently clockwise. It has broken the snubber straps. Is this a brake problem? My washer doesn't have a a regular brake drum with a shoe INSIDE, but has an EXTERIOR brake band that is on the OUTSIDE of a metal drum, maybe the transmission. Something seems to be grabbing. Can you please diagnose this problem?  Could I ask you another question? Is this washing machine a direct drive machine, or belt driven? It has one belt that goes from the motor to one pulley directly under the the center of the machine. But it doesn't look like the pictures I've seen of belt driven machines. And it doesn't look like pictures I've seen of direct drive machines either. Thanks in advance!  Ads By Google Related Models
