Model Number: GWT445RTS1 Brand: Gibson Age: More than 10 years
My washing machine is making clunking noises during the high speed cycle. I removed the front inspection plate and the back. Shocks and spring mounts seem fine. The noise appears to come from the back of the drum. On spinning it w/o the belt, there is a slight scraping sound.
Does this sound like a bearing problem? If not, what is it? How do I replace bearings if they are the problem? Thanks for your expertise, Joe Ads By Google Related Models |

Usually a bearing failure is more associated with an "engine" sound, so you need to check the inner tub support. If it is the bearing, it is not a replaceable item, and you need to replace the back half of the tub, this part here
