My washer won't detect that it has hit the correct fill level when I start the cycle. I have tried replacing the housing that the small/medium/large/extra large knob connects to, thinking that would solve the problem, but it didn't. I have since then taken off the hose and inspected it for cracks or kinks and found none. When I only unconnect the top section of the tube and blow through it, air makes it all the way into the tank with ease. Also when the washer is running and I blow through the hole in the housing where the tube connects, it will immediately start agitating. I understand that it works by creating pressure in the tube that kicks the switch in the housing. I have developed a simple method that works, but the washer has to be taken apart in order to do it. I'll start the washer let it fill up to around the desireable level then take the tube off from the top part, blow through it until all the water is out, kink the hose to keep the pressure, reinstall the hose to the housing, and then unkink the hose. When I do this the switch inside the housing flips and the washer works correctly. The only problem with this method is that it only works one time. If I try to do another load it brings me back to my original problem. I've been trying to figure this out for days and haven't really made any progress. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you do not do anything and let the washer fill will it eventually over fill out the top and leak onto the floor or does the water stay at a constant level in the washer, about 6 - 10 inches from the bottom of the basket?

There is a small dome that the pressure switch hose goes to that is attached to the plastic outer tub. If this dome is clear then the only thing left is the pressure switch or the hose itself. It is not uncommon to have brand new parts that are bad out of the box.
