Took advice and bought the water level control switch.(new timer and new water inlet vlave as well). This has not remedied the problem. Put the new water level switch on and still the washer will not fill with water.I'm at a lost since the other parts didn't fix the problem either. Is there any other suggestions before I have to call a repairman out and have to pay the expense of this. The washer will go into the wash cycle but will not fill at any point. Even let it go through the cycle from wash to rinse, once at rinse the washer stops. At wits end.

Well darn, that water level switch should have done the job.
It is extremely rare but it may be that there is a problem with the wiring between the timer and the water level switch such that a short circuit, or frayed or broken wiring is causing the timer to think the machine is filled with water.
Trace the wiring and check it for any breaks, frayed and test it for continuity. Marke sure the connectors are clean and tight.
