Unhappy Water doesn't drain Completely
Model Number: LAT5005AAE   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi Everybody,

When my machine goes into the spin cycle the water drains very slowly and I have to run through the spin cycle several times to get the water out of the machine.

Could it be the filter? The pump turns and the tub spins well enough.

The belts are loose but if there was a problem with tension then it would not spin which it does well.

Any Ideas?

Blues

Blues,

Remove the front panel and check for a foreign objects in the pump and/or in the drain hoses.

Gene.

Default Gene Thank You but I need a bit of Help!

Dear Gene,

I need to know how to remove the front panel. I remember I had done so for a Whirlpool washer but I did is ass-backwards draining the water and the turning the waher on its side and working from the bottom.

I know you are probably laughing right now. But removing the panel sounds so much simplier and easier.

Thank You Again,
Blues

Remove the two screws on the bottom of the front panel. Grab the panel from the bottom and pull it up to release it from the top retainers. Now it's all yours.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag washer Model LAT5005AAE

Smile Gene, My Hats Off to You Again, Thanks!

Gene,

Thank You Sir! I will be preforming surgery on the washer this evening once I'm finished working. Sometimes just a few words can save a person a lot of trouble and this is the case here.

Very Best Regards,
Blues
