Agitator mover
Model Number: LLT8233AWo Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
The agitator mover does not move, it will spin freely by hand. If you put pressure on while machine is on it will catch but will stop when pressure is released.

Try changing out the agitator cams or "dogs". It is an inexpensive and easy repair.
