washer wont run if cold water is selected
Model Number: whirlpool lxr7144eq1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
the washer will only fill if hot water is selected it also wont rinse if cold water is selected????

Is the cold water on? I know, that's a stupid question but I've seen it before.
Check your inlet screens on your hoses and on the inlet valve. If they are fine, and you are getting voltage to the cold water valve coil when it calls for cold water, the the inlet valve is bad.

thanks,yes the cold water is on and the screens are clear,so the inlet valve is the problem!thanks again!
