Model Number: alw540raw Brand: Amana Age: 5 - 10 years
The belt burnt off and service man was called. He said the transmission was bad. I can turn the main pulley easy and reverse it and it will turn the transmission and tub easy. The pump was replaced last year and the pulley to it turns freely no binding. Is it possible the transmission bound up and is now free? What else could could burn the belt off if everything is free?
