Default Maytag Neptune will not spin or agitate
Model Number: MAH5500BWW   Brand: Maytag   Age: 1 - 5 years

The wife switched from cotton/sturdy to delicates cycle and noticed that the washer was not agitating or spinning. On the motor control board found the fuse blown, R19, R29, R27, R30 & IC2 fried (electronic smoke theory).

The Motor control board obviously needs to be replaced, is there any thing else?

This is not the first time I've had the pleasure of repairing this fine Neptune washing machine. When it started sounding like a jet fighter when spinning and walking all over the room I called Maytag repair. After picking myself up off the floor after he handed me the cost to repair, (what the washer cost new) I decided to do it myself. I took the washer apart, inspected and cleaned the shaft, knocked out the old shaft bearing, went to the local auto parts and bought the same bearings for $16.00, installed bearing and a new seal kit from AppliancePartsPro. Total repair cost, less than $100.00
