Default need basket (spider) hub
Model Number: ghw9100lw1   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years

Had the banging thing going on...then a leak. Then found melted plastic in the clothes. Today I took it apart to find the front half of the outer drum had been worn (burned) through by the front of the basket rubbing on it. I then pulled the basket and found the the three fingers (spider/hub) rotted and broken in two places. I found the outer tub on this site, but, can only find the basket, not the hub seperate, my basket is fine. Any ideas or a part number? Thanks
By the way, what causes this part to rot out so fast?
