Model Number: LSQ8243HQO Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
When the machine is in the wash cycle, the agitator is not moving. I can spin it by hand but it doenst move when it is washing. I need to know how to get the machine apart. Where do i even start at?

Start by replacing the cams in your agitator, this part here.
Part number: AP3094543 It is easy to do, just take out the fabric softener component, pull off the plastic cap inside the agitator, use a 7/16" socket with extension to take out the bolt hold the agitator in and pull out the agitator. It will come apart into two pieces and you can see how to replace the "dogs".
