I have an Amana DLW330RA Top Load Washer - There is a loud whirring sound during the spin cycle.... when you lift the lid the drum comes to an abrupt stop. I have removed the front cover and have found the discharge hose (the black part) is twisted and flat and has come off of the base bracket....
There was about a quart of water that discharged when I removed the hose from the pump. I repositioned the hose and attached it to the bracket, however the hose is flimsy and lost it's shape where it was twisted. Could the problem be the pump, the idler or the brake?
