no hot water

no hot water

Model Number: not sure Brand: Hotpoint Age: More than 10 years

Everything on my washer works except the hot water cycle. When you swith to hot water nothing happens. Would it be the hot water switch is bad? Can it be cleaned? Anyway to do a continuity check on it? Or should I just replace it?
