Model Number: LSQ9010LW0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
Where does the motor spring attach to on the motor side? I replaced the pads on the machine to try and stop horrible unbalanced spinning. Replacement went fine, just didnt solve the problem. Took it back apart found that the motor spring is not attached. Not quite sure where to attach it.

Look at the right side spring, same as the left side, attaches from the skate board (triangular movable frame) to a horizontal, removable plate bolted to the tub.

it may not be the motor spring. it is the 5-6" long thinner gauge spring that attached to the rear spring bracket. It is part number 15 on page 4 of the parts page for the machine.
