I was washing clothes and did 1 load fine. Second load the agitator quit and was making this grinding sound and was moving very little. What happened???:(

Take off the front panel by inserting a screw driver in the gap between the top and the front near the edges to release clips that hold it on. You can now see if the motor and transmission are turning during agitation.

If they are, and the machine spins ok, your problem may be this part.

You can get to it by pulling up the agitator, but be careful, it may be hard to do and suddenly come loose smacking you in the face.
