We have a Maytag stacked washer/dryer LSE7806ACM and the washer stops at around 4 minutes to go, hums, and won't go into the spin cycle. This happens on both Permanent Press and Regular cycles. I have to manually move the timer a couple of minutes to start the spin cycle, then it will finish normally.
Is the problem the timer itself? Can contacts be cleaned or do I need a complete new timer assembly?
Thank you,
Ray Kawal Maunaloa, HI

I have done some more checking and the washer stops before the Fill cycle after the Spin cycle. The remaining cycles are Fill, Rinse, Spin and Spray, Spin, then OFF. When the washer stops, the timer motor also stops so it will not advance any further. Something is humming while it is stopped. Neither the level selector nor the temp switch make any difference in position - i.e. same problem in any position of these switches.
I can manually advance the timer and it will finish the spinning.
