My washer was leaking a few weeks ago so I took off the cover to find the source. At the beginning of the first spin cycle, water was coming out between the plastic inside drum and the metal outside drum. I unsnapped the tabs and found the gasket in there to look worn. At the front of the washer, the plastic and metal were touching so I figured the gasket was worn. I bought a new gasket and replaced it. Still, I have some water leaking out. The plastic and metal still nearly touch in the front.

Is there anything I can do to get this washer to stop leaking!?

See if the discussion on re-centering the basket will help you. Here is the service manual

Thanks for the response.

Unfortunately, that didn't fix the problem. I double/triple checked that the tabs are right in the depressed spots in the metal. I can see the gasket between the plastic and metal around the back and sides. In the front, the plastic and metal tough (or are very close). This is where the water is coming from.

I checked the plastic and there aren't any imperfections. The gasket is brand new so that couldn't be it.

I wonder if there is something missing on the inside of the outer ring of the metal tub. Do you know what exactly is sealing off on the metal?

On another note, I never had a manual for the washer so thanks!

Unfortunately not having one of those models in front of me means I can only refer you back to the service manual and the pictures and discussion. there. Yours is an unusual problem and without being there to see it I am at kind of a loss. Maybe someone else can chime in here and be helpful.
