Several months ago my washer would partially refill with water after a wash cycle was complete and no new cycle was intiated. When the door was opened to put in a new load water would flow out the door. This happens occasionally and inconsistently.

Also on occasion the door will lock and press and holding the unlock will not release it. Only unplugging the washer releases it.

Now the unit will no longer dispense fabric softener during a cycle. It simply remains in the softener tray.

Does the central electronic control unit need replacement?

Hot and cold pressure are fine. I actually have 2 of these units and the other works fine. The programming of the one I am having difficulty with seems to be off. The unit will dispense detergent properly but no longer will dispense softener. Also, as I said before, without turning the washer on it will sometimes fill with water on its own without locking the door.
