Maytag Top Loader Washing Machine
Model Number: LAT9704AAW Brand: -brand- Age: More than 10 years
The machine turns on , that is the light goes on but no sound and no water..We think we need a new timer? Anyone have any ideas. Thanks for your help

Can you hear a hum coming from the water inlet valve? Does this happen in all cycles?
