My wash tub spins CCW during the wash cycle and the agitator spins with it instead of agitating. (The transmission sounds normal.) The tub spins CW during the rinse cycle. I am missing one brake pad and the other two are held on by one bolt each. If I reconnect the pads with two bolts it seems they will press right into the rotor. It this normal?

Install a new brakekit... Not too hard .. pt number here is AP171680

having problems attaching pads with the supplied bolts. difficult to align bolts. the rotor is pulley shaped. does the pad slip into the groove on the sheave? if so it's too thick.

Tried to fasten pads but uncertain how to align with the rotor. The rotor shifts up and down a bit. If I get under it, I can get one pad on but it tilts the rotor enough to cause problems threading the fastening screws for the next pad. It seems the pads should align even with the rotor, but the rotor won't allow the the pads in close enough to let the screws align. The original pads show slight wear on both sides on the pad. Is that only from the rotor or do they get pinched between the rotor and another part, like the spin/agit pulley?

Here is the site with the manual... Should go between the rotor its splits in 2 use a large flat blade screw driver to hold open while installing the pads ad screws
