Is the inlet vavle part # Ap3128776 easy to install? Do we have to cap off any part of the vavle(we are turning the hot water part off)?

Should not be a problem. Turn off the water on both hot and cold, disconnect the hoses from machine and take off the top. You will be able to see how the valve comes off.
