All cycles work except the cycle that drains right before the rinse. Used the shop vacuum to drain all the water out of the tub. Parts person suggested the motor coupling as a fail point but it was intact. Pump turns and is not clogged.

Any test for a failed pump?

You may have something stuck in the tub, You can shine a light in there to check.

I'll check, but kinda doubt it. When checking the motor coupling last night, disconnected the hose on top of the water pump and water came flooding out. Does not appear to be clogged at that point.

If you have a drain in the floor, drop the drain hose to the floor and see if it drains out. If not you have a clog somewhere.

It was the lid switch.

Directions to bypass the lid switch were under another thread, can't locate it now. (printed out the directions this morning)

Thanks.

Edit to add lid switch bypass.

You need to check your lid switch. To do this, unplug the machine and take out the two screws that hold the console to the cabinet, and flip the console back. This will expose a wire set coming from the console and going to the cabinet, with a plastic connection. Undo the connection, and use a solid insulated wire to bypass the lid switch by twisting the wire into a u shape and inserting the exposed ends into the end holes on the plastic connector coming from the console.

Plug in the machine and move the timer to the spin position, and engage it. If the machine spins your lid switch is bad and needs to be replaced.

See any of the hundreds of posts on replacing the lid switch if you need further info.
