Washer Repair

The washer stops after it fills and wont run. I thought it was the lid switch but when I was going to order the part I was told it could be the fuse and to change that 1st. I bought some fuses from radio shack and I changed it and I tested the washer to see if that was it. I let it run a cycle. It worked so I thought. I put in a load of laundry set it and started it. The washer filled up then stopped and didnt run any more. I thought maybe the fuse was no good so I changed it. It didnt look burned out but what the heck I had 4 fuses to work with. The washer worked again. I put in a second load of wash and it didnt work. I wiggled the wires and changed the fuse again and it worked. It is not working again. I wiggled the wires again and change the fuse again and nothing what to do
