Iam trying to replace the basket on the washer. How do I remove the basket off of the shaft. Do the hub screw on? And is it clockwise or counterclockwise? Or do I pry it off? Also can I buy A new ring or hub that has the basket locked on?

You can remove the old basket by taking off the agitator which should have a 7/16" bolt under the fabric softener or cover which once removed will allow you to lift off the agitator.
You will then see a broze looking nut that is taken off in the regular manner. You will need a special spanner wrench to do this and put it back on. The basket will then lift out. Here is the basket part Part number: AP3182321 and here is the wrench Part number: AP4503397 You can buy a new ring, or any other parts. Just call APP or whomever you buy parts from.
