Remove the washer cabinet (instructions attached). Remove the tub ring unsnapping the tub ring tabs from the tub one at a time. Remove the agitator cap. Unscrew the agitator mounting bolt, and remove agitator. Next step is to remove the spanner nut. You can do it using a hummer and a screwdriver or you can buy a special spanner wrench . However, it is recommended to use the special spanner wrench to properly tighten the spanner nut at the end of the repair. Carefully remove the basket by lifting straight up. Gene.
