Amana Washer needs a kick start
Model Number: LW4202W Brand: Amana Age: 5 - 10 years
I really don't know the age of the washer, so ignore that. But here's my problem. Our washer fills with water and sometimes just stops. If we come along and hit the top or side, it'll continue. Otherwise it'll just sit there with water and clothes in it indefinitely. What do I need to fix?

I would start with the lid switch. There appear to be several for this model, so call in your order and give them both the model and serial numbers so you can get the right one.
