We had a load balance problem and the washer quit. Pulled it out and unloaded it, leveled the machine and it then ran fine. But discovered under it a dark oily fluid. Any ideas on what that might be and what it means for our washer? Thanks!

Your tranny may be ready to fail. Usually dumps out oil as a first indication of internal tranny failure.
