High Pitch sound on spin, help
Model Number: 90 series 20912 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
My washer started to make a high pitched sound, a loud hum, during the spin cycle. I've searched and searched the web and found nothing.
About 2 months ago I replaced the motor coupler (sp?) so I know its not that- can anyone give me some ideas on what to replace / what to look for once I open the machine up? Ads By Google Related Models

I have found that something may be in the pump. In some cases it will not hurt but at the same time, it may be a straight pin. I have seen them cut through the face of the pump and then leak profusely. Better to check it now rather than replace a pump.
