The Whirlpool motor #AP4024680 shows as my replacement motor. I need to know if the new motor also mounts to the same plate that allows for swivel after putting the belt on the pully.

It should be an exact duplicate. Whirlpool now owns Maytag so the listing as a Whirlpool part may just be something to reflect that.

Call in the order and confirm with APP (we are volunteers and not part of the parts opertions) but you should be fine.
