I have an admiral giant capacity plus heavy duty 20 lb top load washer. during washing cycles it will slow down and or stop and will not spin at the correct speed. what parts do i need to get for this? do i need to replace a belt or is it a bearing thing? please advice, thank you.

Tilt the washer back and remove the belt. Inspect the belt for any damages. Check how freely the pump pulley is moving in both directions. Post the results.

The model number you posted oes not come up. Verify and repost it. How old is the washer?

We bought it from montgomery wards in 1991. old model.
it is an admiral giant capacity plus heavy duty 20lb washer. top load. it doesn't say the rev for it. hope this info helps. i'm pretty sure it has similar parts as other models of the same year. please let me know if you find anything. thanks

Unfortunately there is no online information available for such old models. You probably have to remove the front panel and check the belt first.

I believe the APP team can help you better over the phone (877-477-7278) with the correct part numbers because they have more access to old models information.

cool thanks. i'll check for the belt and i'll call them on it. maybe i can get a part number from the belt and or other parts on the machine. i'll let you know what happens.
