Default sock stuck in water pump... do i need a new pump?
Model Number: dlw330raw   Brand: Amana   Age: 5 - 10 years

so ive learned my lesson not to have baby socks in a washer unless its in a special bag. Anyways my problem is this. a suck got jammed in the water pump. i pulled it out. the pump still dont pump but yet i spun the blade inside and it spun freely.. i have a direct drive which the motor goes into the pump. my question now is do i need a new pump? there is no other blockage water comes out freely on a gravity feed. i have it temporarily hook up where it drains outside because it wont pump in the correct drain. also now it gets stuck on the rinse cycle and the water keeps draining? does this have to do with anything or is this a totally different problem? and if so i do i go about repairing this.

thank you for your time for reading and replying

Joe
