LG WF 651 cold water solenoid constantly energized
Model Number: WF 651 Brand:
1 - 5 years
I replaced a burnt out cold water fill solenoid on my LG. I haven't changed any other components, but since replacing the solenoid, the washer continually fills with cold water (ie solenoid is energized). I've tested both hot and cold solenoid connectors, and only the cold water system is energized.
Does anyone know where the solenoid gets control signal from?
With the cold water solenoid disconnected, the washer will wash and spin, but not rinse (presumably due to the rinse being cold water only). With the cold water solenoid connected there is a lot of water, rising up the tub! I'm not willing to let the tub overflow just to prove the water level sensor isn't as tough as the fill solenoid circuit.
she's a good quiet machine, and I'd hate to see her leave...
