Kelvinator top loader washer drops black spots on the floor in circular pattern
 

Hi, I have a 1994 machine that runs well but when agitating it drops black greasy-looking spots on the floor. They form a circular pattern under the motor. I haven't investigated further yet, not being that mechanically minded (!) but wonder if it is something that is a common fault and can be easily fixed, or if it will just keep on till something seizes up and dies?!

I think what will happen is that second things. The spots are likely coming from your transmission and given the age of your machine I think a late model used or new one should be in your future.
