My Maytag Neptune fills very slow on the wash and Rinse 1 and Rinse 2. No difference between hot and cold cycles. It frequently stops mid-fill on Wash Cycle and in Rinse Cycle and has to be restarted. On Rinse 3, which is fabric softener, the water flow is much greater. I have checked the hoses and filters and no clogs. If the problem was clogged hoses or filters then I wouldn't get normal flow on Rinse 3.

Have you cleaned it at this time? Have you do it in accordance with the manufacturer instructions? Otherwise the problem can be a clogged screens in the inlet water valve (where the inlet hoses are connected to). - The water inlet valve Part number: AP4027591

Have cleaned both hose screens and found nothing in the Hot water screen but found alot of rust pieces in the Cold water screen. After cleaning the screen, replacing it into the hose end, the cold water flowed flawlessly as one would expect from the hose. As soon as the hose is connected to the machine the cold water continues to flow in a trickle. What could cause this in the machine to choke off the water. We cannot get anything less than a hot water use out of this. Have owned same machine as new and it's atleast over 5yrs. old. Could this be the Water Flow valve located where the water hoses attach to the washer ? Any help is appreciated & welcomed,

Yes, it can be a bad or clogged water inlet valve. You may want to replace it. - The water inlet valve Part number: AP4028726
